塞拉利昂前总统欧内斯特·巴伊·科罗马在尼日利亚临时安置超过两年后，于9月6日返回弗里敦。尼日利亚外交部表示，外交部长比安卡·奥杜梅格伍-奥朱克武按总统博拉·蒂努布指示，陪同科罗马返国，同行还有尼日利亚前总统奥卢塞贡·奥巴桑乔。科罗马的临时迁居始于2024年1月，此前进行了由西非国家经济共同体主导的接触。外交部表示，西非共同体、尼日利亚、塞拉利昂当局及其他相关方的持续努力，解决了导致迁居的情况，并将返国称为地区外交及建立信任过程的完成。
