马哈拉施特拉邦各地与Dahi Handi庆典有关的事件，造成至少三人死亡，孟买汇总的医院记录则增至168名受伤参与者。大孟买市政公司统计显示，29人住院、81人接受治疗、58人出院；孟买中部106例、东部郊区29例、西部郊区33例。国营Akashvani服务报道，马尔瓦尼一名七岁男孩在砖柱倒塌后死亡，浦那一名45岁女子在铁架倒下后死亡，另一名儿童在纳西克的戈达瓦里河溺亡。其此前孟买118人受伤的数字，早于市政部门稍后的统计。
