A man wounded by gunfire in Tel Sheva in Israel's Negev died on Friday evening, October 30, after being brought to Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba. Police opened an investigation into the shooting and initially suspected a criminal dispute between families. Officers from the Towns Station in the Southern District responded after receiving a report of the incident. Police said they began examining the circumstances and collecting findings and evidence at the scene, while conducting extensive searches for those involved. Their preliminary assessment was that "the background to the incident is a criminal conflict between families", according to the police statement. The shooting followed other deadly incidents in Arab communities earlier in the week. On October 29, Tarek Bassoul of Reineh was shot dead while sitting in a car with his wife near a carwash. His wife was moderately wounded in that shooting. On October 28, Maarouf Kanaaneh, 47, was shot dead in Arraba while on his way to work. Another man, Mohammed Razayel, 43, was killed on October 29 after being run over during a fight in Kafr Qara.
