Israeli police arrested a 23-year-old man from Givatayim on Saturday evening on suspicion of assaulting former prime minister Naftali Bennett’s security team during a visit to HaMesila Park in Tel Aviv. Officers from the Lev Tel Aviv station in the Yarkon district carried out the arrest. The suspect was taken to a police station for questioning following the alleged attack. The police announcement described the protected person as a public figure without naming him, while reporting from the scene identified Bennett.
