Kaplan Medical Center in Rehovot said Sunday that it had filed a police complaint last week over suspicions that blood samples were taken from patients without informed consent for laboratory research in its cardiology department. Management said preliminary findings prompted the complaint and that the Health Ministry was informed of the suspicions and measures taken. The hospital said cardiology services continue, with steps to preserve continuity of care and patient safety. The suspected conduct remains an allegation referred to police for examination.
