Israel Police said Tuesday that a 32-year-old Palestinian resident of the West Bank was arrested after allegedly falsely identifying himself at a Bnei Brak light rail station. Guards at the underground Aharonovich station noticed him photographing and filming inside on Monday morning and called Tel Aviv District police. The man initially supplied an identity number and claimed to be a resident of Tayibe. Police said further checks established that he had falsely identified himself, was in Israel unlawfully and had previously been involved in security-related incidents. He was arrested and taken for questioning.
