Shas and United Torah Judaism signed a surplus-vote agreement on Sunday ahead of the election for the 26th Knesset. The parties said they would continue coordinating their work in the next Knesset on issues concerning Torah study and the status of yeshiva students. Their stated shared priorities also include strengthening Torah education. They described their cooperation as guided by Torah sages and elders, setting out their intention to continue working together in parliament on these issues after the forthcoming election.
