President Isaac Herzog addressed the Nova Festival memorial ceremony in Reim on October 7, three years after the terrorist attack in which hundreds of festival-goers were murdered and abducted. Speaking to international media before the ceremony, he said people from 36 nationalities had attended the festival. Herzog said Israel was remembering the victims and rebuilding the region attacked that day, declaring, “we will dance again, we will live again.” He affirmed Israel’s right to defend itself and fight terrorism while expressing a desire for Israel’s neighbors to live in peace.
