President Isaac Herzog presented the Presidential Medal of Honor to 11 Israelis at the President’s House in Jerusalem on Sunday. The recipients were Yona Elian-Keshet, Hossam Haick, Mooli Lahad, Hefziba Lifshitz, Yossi Leshem, Abie Abraham Moses, Ziva Mekonen, Moshe Nissim, Rabbi Haim Sabato, Yehuda Eder and Uriel Reichman. Their work spans science, education, culture, social advocacy, public service and Torah scholarship. Herzog called each recipient “a beacon” in their field and urged civic unity during the election period. Initiated by President Shimon Peres in 2012, the medal recognizes exceptional contributions to Israel or humanity.
