A good and important meeting at the Slovenian Parliament with Foreign Policy Committee Chairman @FrancBreznikSDS and Defence Committee Chairman @sreckoocvirk. We discussed the strategic challenges facing our countries and ways to deepen our bilateral relations. I explained how the Iranian regime continues to undermine security and stability across the Middle East. Israel has good friends in Slovenia. Together, we will continue to strengthen this friendship.

In a moving ceremony, together with my friend and colleague @TKajzer, the Foreign Minister of Slovenia, I inaugurated the Embassy of Israel in Slovenia just an hour ago. This is the fifth new Israeli embassy within a year and a half. We have friends in Europe and around the world, and we must strengthen relations and cooperation with them. I will continue to expand Israel's diplomatic network around the world.

Great conversation with Reform UK leader @Nigel_Farage following the anti-Israel moves by the Labour Government. I thanked him for his and his party’s support for Israel. He told me he was pleased to have addressed the Reform Friends of Israel event at the party conference in Birmingham last week, and assured me unequivocally that, in government, Reform UK would reverse the damage done to the UK-Israel relationship by the Labour Government and its policies.

In a few hours, I will open the first Israeli embassy in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. She reaffirmed the Conservative Party’s strong support for Israel and its firm opposition to the Canadian Government’s intentions in this regard.
Great conversation this evening with UK Opposition Leader @KemiBadenoch and Shadow Foreign Secretary @TomTugendhat. I thanked them for their firm opposition to the hostile Labour Government’s announcement today and its series of anti-Israel policies since taking office. I welcomed their support for the friendship with Israel and their commitment for the future relations between our countries. We know that we have many friends in the UK, but unfortunately we are faced with the ongoing hostility of the current Labour government. I also thanked Kemi for her warm wishes ahead of the Jewish New Year.

When I met my friend Lionel Aingimea, Vice President and Minister for Foreign Affairs of Naoero, in Fiji in May, I suggested that his country open their embassy in Jerusalem, our eternal capital. Thanks to his determination and efficiency, and to the steadfast friendship between Naoero and Israel, that vision was swiftly realized. At today’s moving ceremony, I told him: “This is a true legacy. Today, you laid a brick in the walls of Jerusalem.” Naoero’s embassy is already the ninth in Jerusalem. Next month, there will be a tenth. Welcome to Jerusalem, Naoero! 🇳🇷🇮🇱

I was delighted to welcome my friend Lionel Aingimea, Vice President and Minister for Foreign Affairs of Naoero. Tomorrow, Naoero will become the ninth country to open an embassy in Jerusalem, our capital. Naoero is a true friend of Israel, consistently standing with us on the international stage. I was pleased to once again welcome to Jerusalem the Foreign Minister of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, @kayikwambaT, who is accompanying President Félix Tshisekedi on his visit to Israel. We held a wide-ranging discussion on relations between our countries, Israel’s security challenges, the implementation of the agreement between the DRC and Rwanda, and other regional and international issues. I was delighted to meet this morning with the third J50 Forum, an initiative I established as Foreign Minister to bring together the world’s major Jewish communities and international Jewish organizations. I am pleased to see the Forum, chaired by William @Daroff, continuing to grow, with even more communities represented this year. We discussed our shared and deepening concern over the global rise in antisemitism, and the clear connection between the obsessive anti-Israel rhetoric of many governments and the growing attacks against Jewish communities. While some countries pursue an anti-Israel agenda for their own political interests, on other fronts we have dramatically expanded Israel’s diplomatic relations and international cooperation. We have doubled the number of embassies in Jerusalem, opened five new Israeli embassies, and upgraded our diplomatic relations around the world. Above all, one thing is clear: united, we are stronger. By coming together in Jerusalem, we strengthen the bond between Israel and Jewish communities around the world.
Turkish Foreign Minister Fidan continues, in the service of President Erdoğan, to spread lies and blood libels against Israel. It is the Turkish regime that hosts and supports the Hamas terrorist organization, which committed a genocidal massacre against Israelis on October 7. Erdoğan’s regime invades other countries, suppresses and imprisons opposition leaders, and arrests judges and journalists - with yet another journalist arrested just today. To divert attention from all of this, it resorts to the oldest trick in the antisemitic playbook: making false accusations against Jews and the Jewish state.
