Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital reported that an Israeli strike in western Deir al-Balah killed Hassam Osama Hussein Nasir and a three-year-old boy, while another Palestinian was wounded. The IDF said Nasir belonged to Hamas's military wing, had advanced attacks against Israeli troops and civilians, and posed an immediate threat. The military said it used precise munitions and aerial surveillance before the strike to reduce civilian harm. The military did not provide evidence to support its description of Nasir as an immediate threat.
