Colombia Freezes Regular Gasoline and Diesel Prices for September

Colombia's government said regular gasoline and ACPM diesel prices will not increase during September, following a joint decision by the finance and mines and energy ministries. Officials said the freeze is intended to ease household costs, limit increases in food-transport expenses and support humanitarian-aid shipments to areas affected by the August 10 earthquake. CREG Circular 339 set average reference prices across 13 principal cities at COP 15,886 per gallon for regular gasoline and COP 11,320 for ACPM, effective August 29. In Bogotá, the listed prices are COP 16,331 and COP 11,616 respectively.
