I don’t know why the Trump Admin is wasting precious time trying to cajole the most fervent adherents of the cult of the ICC to apostatize. If Washington wants to protect Americans from future prosecution, it’s going to need to lean hard directly on the ICC.
Why would Catholics or Jews offer advice on appointments to the Church of England? They don't even believe in it (though its not clear the recent archbishops do either)!
For what its worth, TASE, which reached record levels even as Israel fought a three-year, six-front war, shrugged at @Ed_Miliband's BDS package.
More from @AlArabiya_Eng: Israel arrests those suspected of crimes against Palestinians. The Palestinian Authority pays those convicted of crimes against Israelis. https://t.co/ZEdtnKU9T9
Britain is about to learn that boycotts and sanctions can be bilateral. Happy to see more @KoheletForum recommendations moving forward. https://t.co/DC0GQFbbcM
In addition, federal law criminalizes even merely furnishing information to help further the enforcement of a foreign boycott. Disclosing information about business or activities in Israel as a classic example. The law is sporadically enforced, but the penalties heavy.
‘Should Jews NOT Be Allowed To Live in The West Bank?’ I was on @AlArabiya_Eng debate with a few very loud opponents of Jewish rights to Israel. In their view, all the Jews are settlers and colonizers. One defended the murder of Benayahu Melet in July. 40min. https://t.co/14NgATTBIx
UK sanctions are working 😘
Yes, because these European measures are not actually related to bringing peace in the middle of the east, but rather peace in the Red-Green alliance, they feed a political appetite that can never be satisfied. Expect more and harsher moves every year.
Today @Ed_Miliband spoke with particular indignation of advertising in the UK for real estate in settlements! Yep, @ITV aired ads for villas in occupied northern Cyprus; ads appear on London public transport, and UK buyers invest in supporting settlement construction. Do something, Ed!
European countries have justified their boycotts of Israel via an ICJ advisory opinion; the war in Gaza; and planned construction next to Jerusalem. Its overdetermined, giving Israel no incentive to consider the justification of the month.
Israel has just announced that it is closing the unaccredited, illegal UK consulate in Jerusalem. A wise decision: I’ve advocated for this for years, and if the Spanish one had been closed when they adopted their boycott, we might not have gotten to this juncture.
Except in Northern Cyprus, where Brits are welcome to buy nice vacation villas in land ethnically cleansed of Greeks.
The U.K., French etc sanctions will, if not met with a very sharp response, soon be eclipsed by even harsher ones, because the political appetites these measures feed are insatiable.
Watch my @GBNEWS interview on the UK's boycott against Israel - a truly appaling measure that will force American companies in Britain to chose between violating Burnham's ban or U.S. anti-boycott laws. https://t.co/pYxEZhzTHO
Israel’s position on the Falklands remains entirely unchanged, and guys like this or purposefully trying to gaslight British conservatives into Woke Right positions. I’m seeing a ton of this on this platform today.
On @GBNEWS, I explained that there will be no change on Israeli policy re Falklands. The non-issue is being used to inflame conservative British sentiment against Israel. But British Jews will be forbidden from owning homes in the Old City of Jerusalem. That’s unconscionable. @Spokesoffice
Much more powerful than the state laws are federal antiboycott laws that ban U.S. persons from complying with such a boycott or even furnishing information related to its enforcement. American companies in the UK will be in an impossible position.
It is correct to highlight both Israeli and Palestinian terrorism. Jewish terrorism = driving an ATV. Palestinian terrorism = stabbing a civilian.
So-called “settler violence” is constantly in the news to delegitimize an entire country. Should we talk about sanctions on New York, where out of control attacks on Jews are fueled by hateful official rhetoric and lax enforcement?
The out-of-control Spanish violence against innocent Jews is rampaging out of control. Europe must act immediately to impose sanctions, including on government officials who enable these attacks through lax policing, immigration policies, and inflammatory rhetoric https://t.co/udryfSz0lY
In Bob Jones University v. U.S. (1983), the Supreme Court ruled that the government could revoke the non-profit status of religious institutions simply because they violated some uncodified "government policy." This was always a recipe for the imposition of state ideology. Hopefully the Trump Administration's straightforward application of Bob Jones will get liberals to seek its reversal.
Wow, the genocide lie was there ready to go from the start. It had nothing to do with how much food was in Gaza 18 months later, Rafah, defiance of Biden, or anything else. It was designed to let Hamas keep the hostages forever.
It’s not about Netanyahu. Democrats are preparing for broad sanctions against Israel, unless it agrees to ethnic cleansing of its own people, division of Jerusalem, and October 7 every five years..
Arguments about Palestinian jobs lost as a result of trade restrictions on Israel are not effective, because they assume the other side is "pro-Palestinian" rather than mainly "anti-Israel." The Palestinian political movement is mostly about maximimizing Palestinian suffering as tool against the Jews.
