Queensland Police confirmed that a 56-year-old man and 23-year-old woman, both from Ascot, died when a light aircraft crashed at a Musch Road property in Stockleigh on Monday. Initial inquiries indicated the aircraft left Archerfield Airport at about 10:57 a.m., and emergency services were called around 11:10 a.m. The crash sparked a grass fire that was contained, while no one on the ground was injured and no other property was damaged. Police said the circumstances were still being established, and the Australian Transport Safety Bureau sent three investigators to examine the wreckage and site.
