Iranian state television reported that four U.S. missiles struck a tanker about six miles, or 10 kilometers, from Kharg Island on Saturday morning. The crew was evacuating and no casualties were reported. The report presented no evidence or comment from Iranian officials, and U.S. Central Command did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Kharg hosts Iran’s main oil-export terminal, and the reported incident came days after U.S. strikes on Iranian targets resumed amid intensified fighting near the Strait of Hormuz.
