Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 98 issued a warrant Friday for Philippine Vice President Sara Duterte on three counts of grave threats after finding probable cause to try her. Additional police and a mugshot backdrop arrived at the courthouse, but Duterte had not appeared voluntarily by 6 p.m.; court personnel later left. Bail was set at ₱120,000 per count, or ₱360,000 total. The charges stem from her 2024 remarks about President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos and then-Speaker Martin Romualdez; Duterte denied they were threats, and her lawyer said she would pursue legal remedies.
