Colombia’s National Institute of Legal Medicine said three minors were among nine people it had identified from an August 27 military action in rural El Retorno, Guaviare. The agency received 10 bodies on August 29 linked to Operación Amón and said one remained under forensic examination because of the body’s condition. Of the nine identified people, four were female and five male. The institute did not disclose the minors’ ages; its August 30 communiqué was signed by director general Ariel Emilio Cortés Martínez.
