Bad weather forced Nepal to pause helicopter operations on Saturday during the fourth day of rescue efforts after flooding along the Nepal-China border. Nepali Army spokesperson Brig. Gen. Raja Ram Basnet said flights would remain on hold until conditions improved, while ground teams kept searching at the Upper Trishuli-1 Hydropower Project in Rasuwa and at Gyirong in China. Basnet said rescue areas were covered by roughly 4–5 feet of mud and offered few viable helicopter landing sites. Radio Nepal reported 191 hydropower workers rescued and Army searches continuing in Mailung, Timure and Syafrubesi.
