Nepal Deploys 7,415 Security Personnel for Bhotekoshi Flood Response

Nepal has deployed 7,415 security personnel for search, rescue and relief operations after flooding along the Bhote Koshi-Trishuli corridor, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority said. The force includes 3,318 Nepal Police officers, 2,355 Nepal Army personnel and 1,742 Armed Police Force members. Army and private helicopters are operating in Rasuwa and Nuwakot, while medical teams from six institutions have been sent to Nuwakot District Hospital. Army barracks are providing shelter, food, water and medicine, and the response covers affected areas in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha and Chitwan.
