Hungary Calls Russia a Threat in New UN General Assembly Guidelines

Hungary’s government approved guidelines directing its delegation to the 81st UN General Assembly to condemn Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine. The document says Hungary fully supports Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders and recognizes its right to self-defense. It describes Russia’s conduct as a threat to Hungary, Europe and the global order, and as a serious danger to the Hungarian minority in Transcarpathia. The guidelines also support negotiations aimed at sustainable peace and long-term security guarantees for Ukraine.
